Return Policy

1. Overview & return window

At Lakeview Electronics Co., your satisfaction matters. Most items purchased from us may be returned within 30 days of the delivery date for a refund or exchange, provided they meet the condition requirements below. Some product categories have shorter windows or are non-returnable due to their nature — see the sections that follow for details.

30-day standard window: The return clock starts on the day your order is delivered, not the day it was purchased or shipped.

3. Condition requirements

To qualify for a full refund, returned items must be:
 

  • In their original condition — unused, undamaged, and free of wear.

  • Returned with all original packaging, manuals, cables, and accessories.

  • Free of personal data — please factory-reset any device that stores accounts or files.

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt).

 

Partial refunds: Items returned with missing accessories, damaged packaging, or signs of use beyond normal inspection may receive a reduced refund or be declined at our discretion.

4. Non-returnable items

For safety, hygiene, and licensing reasons, the following cannot be returned:
 

  • Activated software, digital downloads, and redeemed license keys.

  • Gift cards and store credit.

  • Custom-configured or built-to-order products (unless defective).

  • In-ear headphones or earbuds with a broken hygiene seal.

  • Items marked "final sale" at the time of purchase.

  • Consumable items such as batteries or printer ink once opened.

5. How to start a return

  1. Log in to your Lakeview account and open the Order History page.

  2. Select the order and the item(s) you wish to return, then choose a reason.

  3. Print your prepaid return label (or request one by email if you checked out as a guest).

  4. Pack the item securely in its original packaging and attach the label.

  5. Drop off the package at any authorized carrier location within 7 days of label creation.

 

No account? Email returns@lakeviewelectronics.com with your order number and we'll set up your return manually.

6. Refunds & processing times

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll send an email confirming approval or rejection. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method.

Prefer faster credit? Choose store credit at the time of return — it's issued within 1 business day of inspection and never expires.

7. Exchanges

Need a different model, color, or size? We're happy to help.

  • The fastest method is to return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the replacement.

  • For direct exchanges of the same item (e.g., defective unit swap), we cover return shipping both ways.

  • If the new item costs more, the difference is charged at checkout; if it costs less, the difference is refunded.

8. Defective, damaged & incorrect items

If your item arrives defective, damaged, or is not what you ordered, we'll make it right at no cost to you.

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery for shipping damage, or within the return window for defects discovered later.

  • Keep all original packaging and photograph the box, padding, and item.

  • We'll arrange a free return label and ship a replacement or issue a full refund — including any original shipping charges.

 

No restocking fee ever applies to defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped items.

The $6.99 return label fee is deducted from your refund. Any applicable restocking fee is disclosed before you confirm the return.

10. Manufacturer warranties

Many products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty that extends beyond our 30-day return window.
 

  • For issues that appear after the return window closes, contact the manufacturer directly using the documentation included with your product.

  • We're glad to help you locate warranty contact details or registration links — just reach out.

  • Manufacturer warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship, not accidental damage or normal wear.

11. Gift returns

Received an item as a gift? You can return eligible items for store credit.
 

  • Gift returns are issued as store credit to the person making the return, not to the original purchaser.

  • You'll need the order number or gift receipt to begin.

  • If no proof of purchase is available, store credit is issued at the item's current selling price.
